Hyatt Place hotel brand to debut in Bhuj, India, in 2029

Global hospitality group Hyatt Hotels has formalised an agreement to introduce its Hyatt Place brand in Bhuj, Gujarat, India, with the opening planned for 2029.

The property will be developed by Primitive Property on a site spanning approximately 7,500m² and will mark the entry of the Hyatt Place brand into the city.

Designed to suit the needs of “multitasking guests”, as well as business and leisure travellers, the property will offer 125 guest rooms, and conference and meeting facilities.

Guests can expect access to an all-day dining restaurant, lobby lounge, outdoor dining area, event spaces and amenities, including Wi-Fi connectivity and round-the-clock food options.

The inclusion of conference facilities and event areas aims to support corporate guests alongside those visiting for other purposes.

Hyatt India and Southwest Asia development vice-president Dhruva Rathore said: “We are thrilled to announce plans for the Hyatt Place brand to enter Bhuj, the gateway to Kutch district, which is fast establishing itself as a dynamic destination, celebrated for its cultural richness while gaining prominence as a corporate hub.

“The hotel has been thoughtfully designed to create a seamless experience for today’s travellers, with spacious accommodations, flexible social spaces, and distinct zones for work and rest.

“We are confident that this new hotel will become a go-to destination that will exceed guest expectations and provide them with everything they need while visiting the area.”

The announcement aligns with Hyatt’s strategic move to expand its portfolio in India’s key markets by focusing on destinations with growth potential.

Primitive Property partners Ankit Anupgiri Goswami and Kruti Ankit Goswami said: “Our vision for Hyatt Place Bhuj has always been to create a modern, international hotel that elevates the guest experience.

“By collaborating with Hyatt, we are bringing a globally trusted brand to a growing commercial and cultural hub. We are confident this hotel will become the preferred choice for both business and leisure travellers in the region.”

According to Hyatt, the property development signals continued demand for internationally branded accommodations in Bhuj and reflects the expansion strategies of global hospitality providers within India’s evolving travel sector.

Hyatt Hotels recently launched the Thompson Hotels brand in the Asia Pacific through a new property in Shanghai, China.

“Hyatt Place hotel brand to debut in Bhuj, India, in 2029” was originally created and published by Hotel Management Network, a GlobalData owned brand.
