Israeli airstrike reportedly hits UN-run Gaza hospital, killing 19

An Israeli airstrike in northern Gaza has reportedly struck a hospital operated by the UN agency for Palestinian refugees.

At least 19 people were killed, including nine minors, and others were injured in the strike on Jabalia, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported.

An Israeli military spokesman said the claim was under investigation.

WAFA also reported that internally displaced people were present near the hospital and that a fire had broken out in the building.

Elsewhere in Gaza, four people were killed in separate Israeli attacks, while rescue teams in Khan Younis recovered the bodies of 12 people, including women and children, from the rubble, WAFA said.
