EXCLUSIVE: Jacquemus Taps ‘White Lotus’ Star Charlotte Le Bon for New Handbag Campaign

A WOMAN FOR ALL SEASONS: Who is Valérie ?

According to Jacquemus’ latest campaign, starring Canadian actress, director and artist Charlotte Le Bon, she is urban, glamorous, kooky and versatile — and above all, she’s a handbag. The campaign launched online on Wednesday in tandem with a dedicated installation at the brand’s flagship on Avenue Montaigne in Paris.

Le Bon, a former model, rose to fame in France as a chronicler for talk show “Le Grand Journal,” where she did daily weather reports in the form of comedy skits. More recently, she starred as Chloé in Season Three of “The White Lotus.”

In the Jacquemus campaign, she channels her improv skills in a series of short films that show her pulling funny faces as she puts on lipstick, getting her bag strap caught on a door handle, or running to use the bathroom.

Named after designer Simon Porte Jacquemus’ late mother, the Valérie is part of the spring 2026 collection titled “Le Paysan,” unveiled at the Orangerie at the Palace of Versailles in June. An offshoot of the recently introduced Bambola, it shares the same sculptural ring closure but in a structured format inspired by a classic 1930s bag.

“At once mature and playful, Le Valérie is both a personal homage to Simon’s mother and a natural extension of Le Paysan’s themes of family, memory, and heritage,” the house said.

The bag comes with a series of leather charms in the shape of fruit and vegetables including lemons, carrots and strawberries — a nod to Jacquemus’ pastoral roots in Provence, where one side of the family farmed carrots; the other, artichokes and spinach.

In addition to Paris, the in-store activation inspired by a traditional market will be deployed in Jacquemus boutiques in New York City, Los Angeles, London and Dubai, alongside a customization service.

Le Bon, who is known for movies including “The Promise” and “Yves Saint Laurent,” will appear next opposite Kristen Stewart and Woody Harrelson in “Full Phil,” a comedy by French director Quentin Dupieux.

She was recently named an ambassador for jeweler Boucheron, and also appears in a campaign marking the 40th anniversary of cashmere brand Bompard.
