Metallica, now touring four years straight, announce new Europe dates

Metallica are extending their world tour with a series of stadium concerts across Europe between May and July, taking their M72 tour into its fourth year.

The promoter announced on Thursday that the band would also perform 16 shows in Greece, Romania, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, Ireland and the UK in the latest leg of its M72 tour.

These concerts come on top of the metal veterans’ upcoming dates in the US, Australia, New Zealand, Bahrain and United Arab Emirates.

Some heavy hitters from the metal genre have also been tapped for support, with Gojira, Knocked Loose, Pantera and Avatar among the varying acts named for certain venues.

Advance tickets go on sale on Friday next week, for fan club members on Tuesday. The so-called M72 World Tour began in April 2023, and has already taken the band to dozens of cities around the world.
