Nike Put Real Sand in the Swoosh of This Air Force 1 Ahead of Summer

If days in the sand are on your mind leading into summer, Nike will help put it in your shoes, too, without any unpleasantness.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low Sail/Soft Yellow features glittery sand inside its jewel Swoosh that’ll shift inside with each step. Behind the particles is a yellow, orange and red gradient to invoke the sunrise or sunset, and the tongue tag also packs water bubbles inside. The upper itself is rendered in silver with a modest sheen, giving way to yellow accents for star-shaped eyelets at the top row of the lacing system, as well as the liner and translucent outsole. Raised ornamentation on the vamp features hearts, stars and other shapes, and a special Nike logo on the mustache is done up in the same style.

This isn’t the first time glittery sand has appeared inside a Swoosh, as Jordan brand previously did the same thing in 2023 with the Air Jordan 1 Mid and Air Jordan 1 Low.

Other novel changes are coming to the Air Force 1 Low soon with just the second colorway from Nike SB’s retooling having just emerged, as well as a women’s-exclusive pair featuring double laces. Neither of those have a confirmed release date yet, but firmly on the April Nike calendar is a trio of patent leather colorways with vivid hues bringing back a style popular from the aughts.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Sail/Soft Yellow” has already hit Nike’s website in other countries and will likely pop up on the U.S. domain soon. Pricing has not yet been confirmed, and sizing will be exclusive to women.
