Singtel users report getting hit by mobile service disruption on Nov 18
[SINGAPORE] Singtel was hit by an outage on Tuesday (Nov 18), with more than 1,600 users affected at its peak at 4.55 pm.
Reports of outages spiked on Downdetector at that time, falling briefly before a second peak at 5.40 pm with over 1,300 users affected.
The disruption was first reported at 2.55 pm with about eight reports, up from a baseline of four.
More than seven in 10 users reported an outage in mobile phone services, while 23 per cent reported mobile internet issues.
Singtel suffered an unprecedented islandwide disruption last on Oct 8, 2024. It resulted in users unable to contact Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), police and hospital hotlines. That disruption had lasted more than three hours.
Shares of Singtel fell 0.2 per cent down to close S$0.01 lower at S$4.87 on Tuesday.
