Singtel users report mobile service disruption on Nov 18
[SINGAPORE] Singtel was hit by an outage on Tuesday (Nov 18), with more than 1,600 users affected at its peak at 4.55pm.
Reports of outages spiked on Downdetector at that time, falling briefly before a second peak at 5.40pm with more than 1,300 users affected.
The disruption was first reported at 2.55pm with about eight reports, up from a baseline of four.
More than seven in 10 users reported an outage in mobile phone services, while 23 per cent reported mobile Internet issues.
BT has contacted Singtel for a response.
Singtel previously suffered an unprecedented islandwide disruption on Oct 8, 2024. It resulted in users unable to contact Singapore Civil Defence Force, police and hospital hotlines. That disruption lasted more than three hours.
Shares of Singtel fell 0.2 per cent to close S$0.01 lower at S$4.87 on Tuesday.
