Tessa Thompson’s Leather Floral Mules Are Fresh Off Balenciaga’s Spring 2026 Runway
Tessa Thompson was ready to party and slipped into Balenciaga mules for Netflix’s 2026 Golden Globe after party at Spago on Sunday in Beverly Hills. The actress was a guest at the event since her new limited series “His & Hers” debuted on the streaming platform on Jan. 8.

For the Golden Globes Awards red carpet, Thompson stood out in a custom Balenciaga dress. The jewel green strapless, shimmering floor-length gown was decorated with metallic green embellishment, creating a mirror-scaled effect. She did a 180 for the after party, trading the rich green hue for an all-black ensemble, slipping into another custom Balenciaga design.
The leather dress featured a sleeveless design, a formfitting bodice and a balloon skirt that was accentuated by feather-like details throughout. She kept that motif going with her shoes, sliding into a pair of black pointed-toe mules that are part of the Balenciaga spring 2026 collection.

The shoes featured a slip-on mule silhouette with an elongated pointed toe and a tall stiletto heel measuring about four inches. The shoes’ uppers are overwhelmingly decorated with light, wispy petals made from all-black leather.
Two large floral appliqués are on the sides of each shoe, giving the appearance that the actress is walking on a bed of flowers. Those flower details were found throughout the Balenciaga spring 2026 collection, and it was shared that each flower took three hours to make. The shoes debuted on the runway in October and will soon be available for purchase.

Thompson is fresh off starring in “His & Hers,” in which she stars as Anna Andrews alongside Jon Bernthal. The pair play two estranged spouses, one who is a detective and the other a news reporter, and they are both on a mission to solve a murder in which each believes the other is a prime suspect. All six episodes of the miniseries, based on Alice Feeney’s novel of the same name, are now available to stream on Netflix.
