Brooks’ Upgraded Y2K Retro Running Shoe With Performance Tech Is Available Now in New Colorways
Brooks has new Pickled Beet and Sky Blue styles of its Y2K Adrenaline GTS 10 retro sneaker upgraded with nitrogen-infused cushioning. Find out more.

Brooks Running, the performance brand best known for its podiatrist-approved shoes and cutting-edge running tech, is beginning to make a name for itself in the lifestyle footwear space thanks to timely collaborations and on-trend reissues from the 2000s and 1970s. The former category includes the Adrenaline GTS 10, a model from 2009 which received its first-ever reissue in February. After introducing several new colorways since, a fresh duo of looks has just been released for October.
The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 10 is available now in new Pickled Beet/Peat Moss/Sand and Sky Blue/White Asparagus/Gray color combinations. The Pickled Beet look combines a purple synthetic-and-mesh upper with orange and green accents, making it one of the more colorful looks for the retro sneaker so far. Meanwhile, the Sky Blue offering features a light blue upper that’s contrasted with off-white and gray for a fitting fall-to-winter transitional look.

Despite their on-trend Y2K aesthetic, the standout feature of the Adrenaline GTS 10 is one of its more subtle, under-the-hood upgrades. Rather than simply re-create the original model from 2009, Brooks sought to modernize the shoe’s cushioning and comfort through the addition of dual-density nitrogen-infused DNA Tuned foam in the midsole. The same cushioning is used in many of the brand’s performance sneakers including the Glycerin Max 2 and Glycerin GTS 23.
During its first quarter earnings call in May, Brooks touted the success of the Adrenaline GTS 10 and its lifestyle line, stating that they “helped fuel a more than double year-over-year increase in the category.” And in August, the Seattle-based sportswear company announced a record second quarter.
The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 10 is available now in its new Pickled Beet and Sky Blue colorways from brooksrunning.com and select retailers for $170 each.
